About Angela McCulloch

Angela McCulloch is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and holds a Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) award in Therapeutic Counselling, specializing in Humanistic and Psychodynamic theories. By integrating these models, Angela helps clients address their concerns in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner, linking current patterns to issues stemming from the past. By respecting each client as an individual, Angela tailors every session to meet their unique needs. She builds relationships based on mutual trust and respect, takes a client-centered approach, and empowers clients to lead sessions at their own pace.

Angela has managed and counseled clients with complex needs and addictions during her work with addiction services and the NHS, where she provided short-term, recovery-focused therapy. This enabled her to empower clients to confront their issues, develop healthier ways of living and relating to others, rejoin communities productively and confidently, reflect on their personal growth, build exciting new futures, and repair relationships.

A message from Angela: “Addiction and mental health issues can cause devastation in a person’s life. I recognize and appreciate how challenging it can be to pick up the pieces and rebuild. I understand the fears of facing an uncertain future while carrying guilt and shame from the past. I launched New Dawn Counselling London in response to this understanding and my passion for providing a space where clients can voice their anxieties, concerns, and issues, and move on from shame. I very much look forward to working with you.”
